I usually take my post workout shake right after I finish lifting. Like, I walk up the stairs and drink the shake. Sometimes my stomach feels bad about that. I told my dad that, and he said you should wait 20 minutes after your workout to take the shake becuase when you lift your stomach basically shuts off and has to turn back on again (in laymens terms). Do you guys wait about 20 minutes, or do you just drink it up right away?

I drink it immediately afterwards, and it doesn't upset my stomach or anything.

within half an hour, that what ive been taught

So does that mean you go unconscious?
i think i might ;).

Actaully when you lift, blood does get diverted away from other processes
such as the digestive process. That's one reason why you should not eat directly before lifting, otherwise it could be counter-productive.

Way to jump on his ass bitches.

Thanks, thats what my dad said. I appreciate you not being an asshole and giving me shit. At least the others could have been dicks, then said when they drink their shake.
