How much $$ do you feel comfortable paying for 5 Lbs of decent flavored Whey Protein Concentrate, Isolate & Milk Protein Isolate?
I would pay no more than $17 for a concentrate, $25 for Isolate & $25 for Milk Protein Isolate. Just my opinion.:)

I pay $20 for 6lbs of a concentrate/isolate blend from Costco. I'm pretty comfortable with that.

Yeah, were the heck do you shop that protein is that cheap!!

I pay $30 for Optimum Nutrition's 5lb jug of whey.

Snort.

The one I'm buying now is almost $80 Canadian. The cheapest I've seen is around $50. Then add in the GST. Gotta love "free trade".

Testosterone,
perhaps you should tell people that you are planning on opening your own supplement company, that you live in India or somewhere in Eurasia and that you have asked this and similar questions pertaining to supplementation in earlier threads. that you have sourced out your whey, casein and egg protein probably out of malaysia and can get it by the ton at 1.28 US per pound.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this sort of market research by the way so I am not making fun or being sarcastic or however you wish to take it. some of your previous comments are out there something that is probably due to something being ' lost in translation '.

MM, where have you been lately?

hey Premier,
this is a busy part of the year for me. so been tending to other things. have a good summer

MarcusMaximusMeridiusDecimusFusssssssss..No, I'm not planning to open any supplements company. I'm far happy distributing supplements here in India. FYKI, I live in India and not Eurasia and Malaysia don't manufacture Whey/Egg/Casein nor does India. However, Australia and New Zealand do.

I have a close business associate of mine in New Zealand who is planning to come up with Milk Proteins, Miceller Caseins and Whey Isolates. I've been into these boards for quite some time now and I have warned him that overpriced products severely dent your image in the market, therefore I suggested him this fair pricing for these proteins to get the "Best Value for your Protein" Tag from your customers.

Had I been into opening a supplement company, I would have started with Ph's, Thermos and Creatines since they have better profit margins.

something is always lost in translation with you Test. i wasn't condemning you and made a point of stating that fact. You point out the error in the specific case yet fail to acknowledge the generality that you are involved in the supplement industry and are IN FACT doing market research, whether it is for yourself or for another person is irrelevent.
Once again, you do live in india ( a country that i mentioned as a possibility ). Eurasia is a term used to denote that entire area. I wasn't saying that you lived in EVERY country in there. The word " or" should have been a clue to you. but thanks for pointing out that you do live in India.
Since you don't know where to source EGG or Whey or caseinates out of Malaysia for 1.30 or so per pound, I am not about to point them out to you. However, rest assured that it is there.
Your choices for creatine, PH and thermos may need rethinking IF you ever decide to get into the supp industry. Creatine now is about 2 bucks per kilo on the world market, the customer is starting to wise up to that fact , Pro hormones are being banned in the states ( so you may not wish to market your products in the states ) and Thermos are being regulated as well.
Again, I am sure it is just a translation thing in so far as you seeing an attack in every post that points out the obvious about what you are doing. Just come out in your next post to say that you are doing market research for a product. the answer may be as follows
most popular - whey blend / concentrate
most popluar size - 5 pound jugs
most pop flavor- vanilla
most consistent price based upon internet source - 22.50 plus 5 bucks shipping waived if 200 min is hit.

But you are the businessman, i just tend gardens.

decimus fuss? - fascinating stuff.
