How much do you guys make?

Me anywhere from 50 to 90 k wife about 65 or 70 sometimes We do very well sometimes it's a little tough

100k-120k depending on the ot I work. In the area of the country I live in that's very good money and cost of living is low.

Yeah cost of living in st. louis is about the only thing this shit hole of a city has going for it. But I'm curious you guys who make 6 figures, what do you guys do for work? I always wonder that when I see 7 series BMW's and big ass houses, where do all these people work? Own your own businesses? Work for corporations? Personal Injury Lawyer? MD?

I can make 6 figures but me personally I prefer having two days of and only working 8 hours... I'm a union carpenter but like tommy said living in SoCal isn't cheap... No BMW I drive a lifted Chevy silverado wife drive 13 Cherokee srt and we have an 07 Honda we share to commute

most of those dudes run forums catering to utter reprobates, selling worthless supplements on the side :coffee:

Seriously, dudes with large income have a high hourly rate AND work the hours. They're usually professionals, specialists, or self-employed.

Connections and contacts are important - people skills and relationships. Research and planning also play important roles.

It helps if your jerked and tanned! :)

So many people live off extreme amounts of debt to afford their ridiculous lifestyles. I am a divorce lawyer and it is rare to find people that come in with little or no debt. The ones that are truly rich usually are not flashy. From my experience, people that have 500K-2 million are the flashiest. I have clients worth over 100 million that are driving old Toyotas and live in 500K houses.

Real money comes from owning a business. You can only make so much off your own labor. I have guys that are plumbers or that own HVAC companies that make more than neurosurgeons. That is why I own my own firm, and have attorneys work for me, instead of lining someone elses pocket.

I think it's funny how some people have a hard time believing that others can make 6 figures a year when there are people worth billions upon billions out there.

As far as being successful goes I agree with the old captn. Having a good social network plays a large part in determining how far up you can move. Planning and making the necessary sacrifices to get a head are crucial. I gave up almost all of my summers when I was going to university. One shift I was working something close to 13hrs/day for 24 days on, 4 off. I made more than enough to pay for everything and live a comfortable lifestyle while going to school though.

Jeeper has the best answer. Some of my friends apprenticed after finishing high school and once they got their journeyman ticket they started up their own small business. They charge minimum $130/hr and pay far less in taxes because it's a business

i live in missouri but i run a tug in the gulf. it pays great around 150,000 last year but i have to be away from home and family .

SO many liars in this thread. :barf:

42k last year. On par for 45k+ this year. And prob another 6-7k cash

I dated a prostitute for a while. She didn't make near that but she was a lazy cunt.

I just checked and I made 44K in my small 3 day a week pool cleaning business before expenses. then I made about another 48-50 cash under the table untaxed. I am the sole income earner here. So i figure I have about as much income as someone making 100-120K after taxes. but once I start selling my gear im gonna buy me a mansion lol

one more thing to add. I have 0 debt. the only expenses i have are rent, utilities and insurance

This message was sent using fucking awesomeness.

My mom is an RN but has a credit score in the 800's. The dude who refinanced her house said he dealt with millionaires who didn't have a credit score that high. Debt is weird.

That would be sick. I want to work in orthopedics tho in surgery.

orthopedic's is the way to go. I work at one of the largest ortho places there is with the top ranked doctors. The PA's here are making 120k average a year in a area where 60k is comfortable.

65k as IT, -10k as farmer I should actually be able to produce this year, 5800 reserves (including yearly bonus), 26,400 gi bill, Wife made 800 a month under a graduate assistants program for her Masters, just got offered a job making 70k as the director of posture correction for an ortho facility.

The average income where we live is 60k.

Price of our homes where i live was 243,000 for a brand new lennar with every upgrade 3 car garage, stone face, shutters ect, 4bd 2 bth and 2k sqft. I could not imagine paying 500 for a 3 bed room

Also with the ortho field if you work at a big place like I do you see allot of pro athletes. Its cool walking into an exam room and seeing an NFL running back.. Shitty thing is its a HIPPA violation to get a pic or an autograph.

I don't make much being an LEO...........But I get to check out all of your IP addresses!

It really doesn't matter how much you make, it's how smart you are with your money.

How many ex-pro sports players are broke? More than 70-80%. ESPN had a documentary on this subject and the facts are downright disgusting.

I love the town I'm in. But it's expensive as fuck. Even in today's market, if I wanted to stop renting I am looking at over 400k for a livable place. We're talking 2 bed one bath, that's not a piece of shit mess/needing work etc. average household income is 105k, average home value is almost 600k. Great to live in a decent area, but I feel like home ownership is unattainable here :(
