Not trying to cut a huge amount or anything like that since I'm already at a good weight, just trying to get rid of some fat on some body parts. I usually run 3 times a week for about 25 minutes, along with a good diet, and so far it has worked great. However, I've heard people say it should be raised to around 60 minutes in the future, but I thought that would be way too much.

running to much burns muscle i think, i wouldnt run more than 3 miles

60 minutes does seem alot. I know people who when they were cutting, used to run on the treadmill for 2 hours. Yes 2 hours. Its just overkill.
I used to jog for about 30 minutes a day, now however, because weight loss is getting slower, I'm doing 40 minutes a day.
You seem to be on the right track though, Motion.

When I was cutting I did little to no cardio and lost bf fine.

However, I consider training legs cardio in itself.

I'm on a cut right now, and I don't do cardio. But am loosing bf very slow. Like 3/4 a pound a week.

My heart rate gets higher from squating then sprinting 100m.

Oh man, squats get me puffing and panting, like crazy.

I know it, whenever I do a "heavy" set of squats I get light headed, my heart is pounding, and my hearing and vision get all screwy. Then by the time it goes away, time for another set!

Indeed I do. Blue flashes in the corner of my eyes, and purple fuzzlies scattered through the air.

Answers are going to be all over he map because like training and diet, it's different for many people. The intensity you bring to your cardio session will matter as well. You could be doing steady state and never change the stress (say running on a flat plane) and do that for 20-30mins.

Or you could be doing sprints up a hill and doing that for 10 mins-15 mins and be near death when it's done.

Some people do a really low intensity type activity....say walking for an hour or elliptical with no resistance for 45 mins steady state.

I'm not so sure I'd do an hour, it's probably overkill. You could get away with it if you follow up with proper nutrition.

The heart's a muscle too and aerobic activity enlarges your heart (naturally and in a good way) and circulatory system allowing for better blood flow. In the long run that's going to improve what you bring to your anaerobic workout sessions (it'll do more for your pumps than NO ever will (IMO)).

You could create lifting sessions that revolve around circuits for something different to try than the typical biking or jogging. 20+ rep squats for sets will probably get you seeing fuzzies and praying for death as well. Supersets work well.

Just make sure you enjoy what you're doing. I'd bump your activity to 5 - 20 min sessions before I'd try 3 - 60 min sessions. I think over long run, you'd better manage your energy and be less wiped.

I think that's plenty of cardio as is. Unless you plan on getting to contest body fat levels, you aren't going to have to do anything crazy besides count your calories, eat clean, adjust accordingly, and continue to exercise as you are now (If I remember you're also lifting weights a few days a week).

As a side note, I perform cardio 2-3 times per week myself. I feel it is great for your health, and any effect on muscle mass/strength gains is going to be negligible at the volume and frequency you are performing it.
