How often do you change your rep scheme and rest interval?

I workout with two rep schemes in mind. I either do 8-10 reps with 1 min rest intervals or I do 3-5 with a longer rest interval. My question is how often do I go from one scheme to the other. Do I change up every week or every two weeks? Do I do one scheme for one week and do the other for two? Im trying to put on some size. Im about 6'3 205 at the moment.
 
you can switch from slow twitch to fast twitch or just pyramid up
 
I train Mountaindog style. Shit changes during the workout lol... 50 rep drop set leg press then 8 rep squats sets..

It all depends on how I feel when I begin to train. If I feel strong then I'm going to use the most amount of weight as possible. When I'm warming up if the weight feels a little heavy to me I train lighter with more reps. I listen to my body and train according to how I feel that day.
 
Some times i will do 10-12 reps as my low end and some times i wll go up to 30 reps with sets.I love high volume training.ill do sets of 5 then throw in drop sets or pyromids other days.ill do run the rack other days.Im always doing something diferant.ill sometimes do strait sets then the last minute ill throw in strip sets.

Personally I think changing every week is too often, you need to at least make some progress with a routine before changing it to keep that progress going. I prefer a 6-12 rep range for the reasons I outline in one of the articles on my blog - How many reps to build muscle... but I don't see any harm in going as low as 3-5 from time to time. But most of the time I would work in the 6-12 range and there is still plenty of scope in there to change things up a lot.
