When I first started lifting (and eating) it seemed like I increased my bench 5lbs every 1 or 2 weeks. Now Ive been lifting for 5 months now and I seem to be increasing 5 lbs about every 3 - 4 weeks.
The further you progress the further nature will fight you. Lifting weights can't be totally brainless except to the most genetically elite, everyone else has to find ways to break through these barriers.
