After not lifting for 5 weeks due to school and finals, by bench went down 20 lbs or so. In my routine, I do:
Monday - Chest, shoulders, tri
Tuesday - Back, biceps, legs
Wednesday - Off
Thursday - Chest, shoulders, tri
Friday - Back, biceps legs
So to get back to par I'm planning on adding 5 lbs each chest workout for the first two weeks (10 lbs per week). But my question is should I do all of my sets at a given weight like 165 for 4x5, or should I do increasing-weight sets like 145, 155, 165, 175, or do the first method on monday and the second method on thursday?
Right now I am focusing on just getting my bench back to normal as thats the only exercise that went down a lot. Any tips?
