It's not a pain. It's a weak feeling I'm getting on my right shoulder just below the lateral delt.

when i do an external rotation with my shoulder or raise my arm forward, that's when the weak feeling kicks in.

AGAIN, THERE'S NO PAIN, so i think it's just an overuse type injury. either that or I believe I've been over stretching it.

any ideas???

it mainly started thursday. it's not unbearable, just uncomfortable. it's not a 'pain' tho.

what i think caused it is this..

i've had to swap to db's for my squats because my old gym didn't have a squat rack. when i'd go down for my squat, i'd move the db's a couple of inches to clear my hips. i really think that's what started it all.

Has the pain compounded or faded since thursday?
it'd subsided, but i really felt it again lastnight after i did upper body. i heated it the best i could after my workout, but it's still weak today.

i looked thru my kinesiology book during lunch and i believe it's the infraspinatus and teres minor muscles of my rotator cuff. they are the ones that assist with external rotation and abduction.

I would get that checked out by a doctor. Something like that sounds like a pinched efferent nerve or something of the sort.

Does the position of your scapula, spine, or any other bodily orientation effect the symptoms?

no, just raising/rotating my humerus.
