so im at gnc and im lookin at the back of whey protiens to see which one has the most protien and minerals and checking out the serving size also.. and a thought popped into my head..when the serving size says "scoop" does this mean that there is a universal measurment for a scoop or does each product have a different size scoop.
my protien says that i get 50g of protien for 2 scoops as opposed to some that only have 30g or 20g for 3 scoops... and i think well even though im gettin 50g (thinking its alot) maybe the product i use has a bigger portion per scoop and then i feel like im being mislead and cheated as opposed to buying the stuff that has 30g for 3 scoops and me actually comsuming less of that product and gettin the same amount of protien per serving if not more..

damn marketing bastards...so misleading..i thought something was shady when i put the recomended serving amount into a glass and the powder took up half of the actual glass. maybe i should sell a product that has 100g of protien per serving and make the serving size the whole jug then id be sitting on millions!

LOL. But who could chug 100g protein at a time? Granted, its meant to be mixed in a shaker, not just in a glass, but even still, 100g protein is a lot. I think Id feel all bloated and slugging with that much at a time, too.

You can easily get 50g protein in a shake, especially if youre using whey isolate.

ahaha its all in my plan.. see heres the thing. i put on the nutrition label that it has 50 or more grams of protien per serving to make people think " holy shit 50+g of protien per serving this must be good stuff and im gettin the best bang for my buck" and they will think that the 50+g will come from about 2 scoopfuls like most all other protien powders do.. but little will they kno that my 2 scoopfuls are equivelant to the whole jug and that is where my scam comes into play, they just wont kno any better, muahahha!! i can already smell the money!!

You should always compare products by looking at the stats per 100g. Forget the scoops and serving sizes for comparing purposes. Good quality, low carb protein powders should have 80g+ (preferrably 90) of protein per 100g of product.

Sometimes if I feel really hungry, I will mix about 6 scoops(120grams+) of protein and a bunch of milk, and PB in the blender. Then drink it :lick:

Dude, buy your protein from www.allthewhey.com GNC is so.. 'newbish'.

I agree. Their whey tastes better, mixes better, and the cost is great. I prefer chocolate. I can't seem to really get into other flavors.

Warning though, do not buy the unflavored milk protein. It tastes like ass.

ON whey is great. i get vanilla ice cream. tastes great, and is cheaper than hell. whey is whey in my book.

btw, as per your original question, my whey scoop is tiny but my mass shake scoop is almost the size of a pop can lol
