Hello,

I've been used to consuming Whey Protein (Optimum Nutrient), but I have ran out and I went to GNC last night for a new bottle but they didnt have any and I saw a lot of new brand names. My question is, what would you guys recommend? Shall I find and still use Whey ON or get something new?

Also, I have a problem, Im not sure wether I should address it as a problem or some thing else but my body I believe doesnt get the nutrients 'effectively'?. For example, I eat properly and sleep properly but Im still tired. Someone at the GNC recommend some Nitrogen supplement that could give me more energy, make my body absorb the nutrients better, and basically get me more active. I wasnt sure if I could trust his word so here I ask the pros. What do you guys think? What kind of supplements would you guys recommend for increasing energy, being more active and such.

Any help is appreciated as always :).

Protein

As far as the pure whey is concerned... there are a ton of reputable companies out there for you to choose from. Any large company, for the most part, makes quality whey... so it is really price and taste that are left. If you want a meal replacement shake or other supps to achieve your goals then it might get more complicated.

As far as your body "absorbing nutrients effectively" fiber is the way to go. I honestly feel that fiber is one of the most underrated supplements out there. I added it into my contest prep this past year and noticed a difference (I didn't believe it at first). I just bought a ton of caps at Wal-Mart too... nothing fancy.

If energy is your concern you might want to take a look at your complex carb intake before looking at taking a ton of supplements. For energy there are a million things you can try...

Well I am not sure if I was much help... there are a lot of other guys on here that will definitely have some other thoughts... take care and good luck!

PS...allthewhey.com sells some great protein (I am not sponsored by them either, just lettin you know an option that is out there. They are good people!)

Thanks :-) yea I've been following and visiting allthewhey.com for a very long time. Im not sure whether I would want the protein to be a meal replacement or just an addon either way, I'd like to get the best out of it.

Yes, you are probably right about the fiber. I will start eating more fibrous food and examine any changes. Im going back to the supplement store, Im just gonna write down all I'll need to buy now :).

have you thought about the possibility of diabetes?

Lol. Im 19, I barely eat sugar, my main reason for the tiredness is I believe my job and very much a lot of stress.

age dont mean shit. jay cutler is 25 and a pro athlete.

if your 19 and tired its because you jerk off too much. lay off the porn.

I dont have any family member who has ever had diabetes also.
I didnt want to bring this up, buts after the lady and I broke up I haven't been myself.

Funny you should say that ;) I was just telling myself somewhat the same thing.

Also, Cutler is 25? Woah!. I thought He'd be atleast 30...something.

If you have a debit card, I would suggest you get your whey protein at sbmuscle.com or bodybuilding.com. GNC is over priced and even more so if you don't have a GNC gold card.

I would recommend you buy a Multi Vitamin supplement for body function and Creatine Monohydrate.

He's talking about Jay Cutler the QB for the Denver Broncos who has diabetes, the bodybuilder is 35.

Ah that makes more sense.

DesertFox, if you dont mind me asking but what can I benefit from Creatine Monohydrate? I have no knowledge of creatines.

I use allthewhey protein isolate - Vanilla flavor, very delicious and hands down the best I have ever tasted. I always buy the 5 LB refill pack and get free shipping. But lately they have increased their price by 6 bucks. I may not buy it again unless they have a sale or something. I have a big stock of EAS and ON 100% whey and will wait it out. If money is not a issue the buy allthewhey vanilla isolate.
