After getting a masters degree in ex physiology, I wish I would have pursued physical therapy or another medical field because of the lack of careers in ex physiology.
I'm currently on a wait list to become an RN because of the lack of choices for me.

You should go to PA school in orthopedics. That is where the money is at... Yeah there is little to know money in the other fields but they are growing fast, best fields to get into if you want to stay in the exercise work line is Physical Therapy, PA for orthopedics (get to work with athletic related injuries) or if you bad ass exercise science, but you really have to be at the top of your game to be successful and make good money. Allot of those guys average 30-50k which is good for a 20 year old but not enough to support a family. My wife is getting her Masters in kinisiology athletic training and with an MS she will at most make 40k when I make 60-70 with no degree working on computers. I plan to send her ass to PA school though cause I need a damn break from working hard in the future.

I almost did the pa thing, but after 7 years of college and 2 kids I'm not interested in that much more school. As an RN I can make 80000 and only work 3 days a week, and my wife is already an RN so together our income will be great and we only work 3 days a week each.
My masters in ex phys will also compliment my RN license and I can work in cardiology or cardiac rehab again, which I absolutely loved.

must be different where you live. Where I live you can just go to PA school which is 2 years long after your degree and become a PA. The PA's where I work make around 6k every two weeks and most of them work 4 days a week. There job is a walk in the park.

"so your left knee has pain? What happened? Ok well looking at this I am going to tell you that you will need an MRI. Dr. looks at the image tells PA he recommends surgery. PA sees patient tells them you can either do surgery or go to physical therapy, but PT will not solve your problem only reduce the issues slightly. here is a prescription of this take it for the pain and come back next month. O you want surgery here I will get you in with Dr. so and so.

It is seriously the best job I have ever seen, I sit in with allot of patient visits due to working on the computers and they have it made. Don't have the stress of the Dr. and still make great money. I don't think I can be an RN most RN's that I know work crazy hours at times and there are allot of RN's here so most new RN's work with the elderly here.

@jit... it? if your referring to my job... Yeah I am a system administrator for an orthopedic center. Great job and the only IT here.

It's 2 years equivalent to 2 years of med school though. I just don't want to put that much more work in.
The job market is better for RNs too because there are so many of them needed, and I'm picky about where I live and raise my kids. I need to be near mountains and forests which being an RN will allow me to live where I want.
