Hi everyone. I am new to the board as well as the weight lifting scene. I searched alot and read up my articles, so i have a decent amount of knowledge. I am currently 20 years old, 180 lbs, and as weak as a 12 year old girl.
I was actually over 200 lbs, but lost about 25 lbs on a ketogenic diet. Over the past 2 weeks, i have been attempting to workout, but it has not been going too well. I barely benchpress 85 lbs. I am still on the ketogenic diet, so that may be hurting me. I also thin i lsot alot of my muscle mass when i lost all that weight. I was always weak, but 2 years ago i could atleast put up 100ish. I guess i should stop this ketogenic diet if i want to gain mass, but i am very afraid of gaining fat. I still have alot of fat to lose, but right now muscle gain is more important.
Do you think cycling carbs is the best route for me? I read Twin Peak's writeup, and also read another one that had 5 low carb days and 2 high carb days. I am not sure what to do.
I also ordered creatine ethyl ester (the kind that doesnt not need sugar to dissolve and includes no carbs). I have also ordered Isopure zero carb protein. Should i try these 2 products on my ketogenic diet, or should i switch it up?
any input would be great, Thanks.
