Tough has a change in plans. I must admit it's kicking my ass, but feels so good. I have found that I have a couple of problem area's that just don't want to grow. I have a couple of body parts that want to grow. Ok for the parts that want to grow. Legs, traps and back width.
So here's where my thinking gets weird. Instead of working harder on the parts that stagnate, i decided to work harder on the parts that want to grow. I have decided on the following
Mon, Wed and Fri. I work legs and back all three days
Tues and Thursday i work the other body parts. Is this a bad idea?

This is Mon, Wed and Fri routine, based off my one rep max
Mon:
Hack Suats...3 sets, 12reps
Leg Presses....3 sets, 12reps
Deadlifts.....2 sets, 12 reps
T-bar....same
Bent over rows....same
1 arm rows....same
pulldowns....same

Wed..Same routine but ..Increase the weight and the same amount of sets but drop reps to 8
Fri....same routine, but increase the weight and same sets and drop reps to 4
Note: Hams and calves worked Tue and thurs. No squats because of my neck

You will get no help from me until you finish the cat/police riddle :hmmm:

Ok eric just for you. It was for prositution....selling her pussy. Now give me some feedback on my post before I reach into my computer, drag you my the neck and bring you here and dump a beer down your throat

how are you tracking progress..

keep a meticulous log. always beat last times weight and / or rep #.

id suggest going on a different routine entirely. Try Max-Ot , P/RR/S, or mabye even HST if you dare...

Each muscle you want to grow are worked 3 times a week ? IMO, in bbing, less is more.

But toughy, then you won't be svelt and symmetrical :sob:

you wouldnt want to work any muscle more than twice a week, if your training 5 days a week id a four day split. day1-legs, day2-chest/shoulders, day3-back, day4-arms.

i think youve gone down the wrong road. i think thats overtraining. better to undertrain than overtrain. i think it may be your diet that needs some help, if youre having problems growing.

Ok Tough, the hard cold fact is we can't workout like a 14-18 year old. They can do anything and grow; every time someone says they train a muscle 3x a week hard and they are growing and getting stronger its some 14 year old. Are they stupid??? No they are young and they can abuse their body in a ways that would kill a 40+ year old. Shit at 14-18 I was benching heavy as hell 2x a week for 10 sets of 5-6 reps every goddamn year non stop, and it worked great! But Now when I try it I end up injuring my self. For us older guys once a week is best...twice a week if the second workout is 25-40% of the sets and none done to failure (i.e. Monday chest: 10 sets 6-10 reps 5+ of these sets to failure, Friday chest: 3 or 4 sets 12-20 reps none to failure)
I don't know if I have the "answer" but I will tell you what I did to develop muscles that were lagging.
1. The first thing was great form ( work on it every time, it takes months to develop it). It is almost impossible for most people to cut there bench press workout weight back 30 Lbs and develop form. Most of the time their Ego wont allow it, but when they do it and learn proper form their bench press goes up like crazy.

2. Fuck the weight...no more ego for "me" on back day ...drop the weight do it right and concentrate on the muscle every second of every lift ( it's much harder to do than I could have ever imagined). My buddy back in the day would do weighted lat pull ups with 90 Lbs around his waist and he had the greatest back in the city....I worked out my back just like him and my back sucked. So I learned to train my back in the best way for me and it improved dramatically.

3. Learn from your mistakes....Try something new and if it dose'nt work move on. But stay within the realm of logic here....for example doing biceps 5x a week is not trying something new, its just stupid

4. There is no perfect new secret workout....hell you know this better then I do, how many have we seen come and go over the last 25-35 years!

5. Train your lagging areas first....how many times have you watched some dude with great biceps train them first in his workout and train them harder than any other muscle group.....and the bitch has NO LEGS. The strong muscle groups will always be there, focus on the weak ones.

6. Ignore all that I have said if you think I'm full of crap, you know your body better than anyone else and you know what to do.....it's just hard to make yourself do it sometimes..

Good luck Tough :thumb:
