The subject of rape has been highly politicized. Feminists have this crazy idea that rape is always about power and never about sex. I think, with the exception of sadistic rapes, this idea is looney tune. Most men don't walk around thinking about having power over women by having sex with them. They just want sex. I also think that saying it is about power instead of sex, is a way to deflect responsibility off of women for putting themselves in certain situations. We do this for no other crime. For instance, I don't get out of my car and leave it running for obvious reasons. If I did, and someone jumped in it and drove away with it, no one, including the police would have a problem telling me I shouldn't have left my keys in the ignition with the car running. However, because it's car theft, it's not politically incorrect to tell me that my lack of decision making skills led to my car being stolen.
No one would say that the guy who stole my car really didn't want my car, they just wanted to oppress me or exert some kind of power over me. That would be nonsense. So why is this not politically correct to point out when it comes to rape?
