...SANDWICHES?

I'm not talking about the huge, fuck off, triple, quadrouple platformed burger things you guys in the States get. Just a normal two whole meal slice, with a thin layer of filling (lets say for argument sake, the filling was a slice of ham) and no butter/marg? Is that ok as a meal. For lunch perhaps? I used to live off sandwiches, but found that it gave me too many carbs for the amount of exercise I was(n't) doing. So, should they be avoided?

What's the caloric content? Fat/Carb/Protein? What kind of bread? How does it fit into your per-meal diet? For example, if you're daily caloric intake is 3500, your per meal should be around 584 cals (assuming six meals a day). Does that sandwich fit into that caloric limit?

Do you see where I'm headed? Do you have any idea why I asked so many questions? :)

Really though, if it fits into your diet, go for it. If you don't have a diet, get one. If you need help, ask one of the Diet & Nutrition Goddesses (aka, Emma-Leigh or Jodi).

Good luck!

I have the diet plan sorted, and meal 3 (1.00pm) tends to always be a sandwich. The calorific content fits in with the overal diet, but does the nutrient content? Maybe a sandwich is too fattening. I don't know.

I eat a sandwich at lunch, instead of the meal trays...
They are fine as long as it fits your caloric needs.

Mine are usually fat free turky, cheese, and mustard on whole wheat.
I drink a cup of milk with it.
30 Prot. 50 carbs, 10 fat. Fits my needs just fine.

The percentages are about Carb - 60, Protein - 30, Fat - 10. Something like that. Too many carbs?

you aren't getting much protein at all from a couple of slices of ham I definetly wouldn't make it a staple in my diet
