Isometrics better than weights?
Isometrics is resistance training. Why couldn't you duplicate most major lifts with isometrics done in 3 different ranges of movement (that correspond with a lifting exersice). Actually, you could install an adjustable bar in a doorway and do all the lifts by changing the height of the bar 3 times to complete the range of motion and work the muscle group through the entire range. Does this make sense?
This has probably been studied, but I just thought of it myself. Each lift would (of course) result in failure just like going heavy. What do you think?
