How about the fact that hockey is the shittiest sport you can watch on TV. You miss some much of the game qwhen you watch it on the tube. It's a little better with the HD making it a widescreen shot, but it dosen't compare to being there. I'm fortunate enough to have Hocky East, ECAC, Ivy League, Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Devils, Bruins, and Rangers all within a couple hours of me.
 
^ I agree with Ian. Bettman is the problem not the game itself. Hockey is great. :buttrock:
 
Yeah you don't get the full experience from the TV.

But anyone who has played the game or been involved in the game, can watch a tv game and enjoy it. Unfortunately most Americans have little appreciation in the skill that it takes to make even the simplest plays during a game.

yeah, everyone who I know that hates watching hockey has never played it. my parents see me watching hockey and they usually go to bed because they dont like watching it. my mom is usually like "how can you follow the puck?" I just tell her its a natural talent Canadians have:D
 
I love hockey.

I know absolutely nothing about the sport, either. All that I know is that the first game I went to (semi-pro in Cali), I was invited back to the locker room and they had a damn hot stripper.

Who wants to Watch the Philadelphia Flyers, L.A Kings, Philadelphia Flyers, Phoenix Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers,Dallas Stars,Philadelphia Flyers.

I am quite happy watching all the good teams play. :p

I get every single Leaf game. Plus 50 old Vancouver Canuck Games, and 40 odd Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton Games. Then Throw in the Rangers, Buffalo. What more do I need?

I don't watch too much regular season hockey on T.V., that's NCAA season.

Usually get 2 games a night when the playoffs start. That's good enough for me.

Lacrosse is doing pretty good. Well Box Lacrosse, cause field lacrosse is gay.

We have a pro team in Toronto, and they damn well sell out a 20,000 seat arena every game they play.

Im a huge flyers fan. Iaian, you know hockey and you have to know about bobby clarke and the retard that he is; kind of like gary bettman. He ruined the team this past year by not resigning any of the offenisve defensemen and not replacing key offensemen, i.e. keith primeau. I agree that they sucked bad this year but hopefully with all the cap room they have and the talent in free agency and most importantly without bobby clarke, they might be able to turn around.
 
I would be worried about your owner as well. He adored Bobby Clarke. Bobby could do no wrong in his eyes.

Flyers should be able to turn it around in couple of seasons they have a good young nucleus.

100% agree. I also think they pulled the trigger on Ken Hitchcock way too quick. Clarke had depleated his offense AND they suffered more injuries than any two teams. Add to that their #1 goal scorer (Forsberg) wasn't scoring goals. How can you blame the coach? They should have kept Hitch.
