Im doing my crunches, and I know theres no such thing as spot reduction, but wtf I only feel the burn in the "upper" part of my abs. Ive read the topics here, Im exhaling while I go up and contracting them, and Ive even added on some weights, but im still not feeling a good burn.........

Lift your legs off the ground like this.. o__|-- Bad pic, but does that kinda make sence? Just make them at a 90 degree angle.

Crunches kinda hit the upper portions of your abs... if you want to hit the lower regions, doing hanging leg lifts or sit-ups without your feet supported by anything. That'll force you to contract and put more strain on your lower abdominals.

OoOoooO yeah i see what you mean, i usually did this:

yea i did them at a 45 degree with my feet off the floor, one more thing, can i get the link to the site with all the animations of exercises? thanks in advance

You can cross your legs at your ankles if it makes it easier to keep them at a 90 :)

Dont call me "Wild Bill" for nothin :D

Is there really no spot reduction? I swear I have read it in one of those bb mags that you can target fat areas and not just overall fat deposits.

LMAO @ o__|-- nice one!

Try this...

o__|\ >to> o_<=

okay very bad pic

but keep your knees tucked in, and then keeping them tucked in lift them up to your chest, so your body stays on the ground, but your legs and ass are rolled up, it will hit your lower abs really well

sorta like bent legged leg raises, and unlike leg raises they don't hurt your lower back

peace

everyone on this site seems to think you cannot spot reduce fat

I disagree, I feel if you can train a certain area of the body then you are going to burn more energy in that area of the body and have a higher chance of losing fat in that area... as a result total bodyfat will be reduced

its like a man with big arms will burn a lot more energy from his arms than a man with skinny arms, so the guy with big arms is more likely to have less fat on his arms then the skinny dude

as you get bigger you burn more energy

so if you get bigger abs they should be leaner too due to the burning of more fat off them

thats just the way i see it

i don't want beef y'all!

peace
