Has anyone seen japanese people eat??? carbs?? so many carbs..lol..still they are the leanest people in the world with lowest bf naturally...any thought????

From what I`ve heard ( living here ) their body fat isn`t all that low, but the way they deposit the fat is somewhat different.

I was watching a program on it just this past Sunday.....the average Japanese female aged between 20 and 30 had 23 to 26% and man was 12 to 18%...................................whan they showed the mri of the bodies you could see that most of the fat was internal....meaning around the organs etc.....they showed one dude with a perfect 6pac that had 16% BF

I've read in a few different places, that since Japan has started industrializing, the people have been getting fatter and fatter. Nowhere near the US or anything but statistically they are getting fatter and less healthy.

And what about the French Paradox? Thats even wierder.

Well the French may have more saturated fats, but they are natural fats as opposed to trans fatty acids, which are worse.

And they don't super size. I remember going to a fancy restaurant as a kid and wondering "Is that all?" You don't see that in your typical American restaurants these days. As a matter of fact, the typical American restaurant is fast food! :( Not my kids!

Yep thats true, but according to the ADA and the Gov't, all the French should be dropping dead from atherosclerosis.

And the Masai, and Eskimos? Just some more examples of how much bullshit the Gov't keeps feeding us.

Yet in the US we eat garbage that does cause us problems, maybe some people in the industry have thier heads up thier butts pointing thier fingers at other countries while were the ones getting fat.

In Japan they eat in moderation and small portions, maybe this is how they can eat so many different types of carbs without gaining fat.

I mean look at a sushi roll, it would take me about two dozen pieces just to feel like I ate a meal, but at the Japanese restaurant/sushi bar (in Japan) they serve only six to a dozen pieces for lunch.

There isn't a "Super-size" option on the menus, as far as what I could read anyway, LOL.

By the way, I'm asian in nationality. My grandfathers and grandmothers lived up to their 90's and were average build for asians. During their time, the majority of their diet consisted of white rice but I noticed they ate in small portions.

You've obviously never been to Brooklyn, NY. All you can eat sushi

:thumb:Good sushi too

:thumb:Great carb-up food, protein+carbs, minimum fat:thumb:.

Just stay away from philadelphia rolls and the like (which contain cream cheese=dietary fat).

Yup!! I stay away from Philadelphia and California rolls. I always have spicy salmon w/ avocado and plain ol' tuna rolls. Shashimi is delicious too.
