2nd day is the worst for me...

Once you get thru it though, you will be OK...

Whatever you do, do not fold and eat even a cracker...
20 min or so after you will get soooo hungry, you will be miserable - :(
 
I'd be willing to bet that 99.9% of people who have negative things to say about fasting have never tried it. The benefits are too numerous to list and well documented in plenty of places. I've been thinking about trying it for a while now, but I'm not too confident that I have that kind of dedication. I remember reading about one old school trainer who swore by them and said that after a seven day fast you could pack on some serious muscle.

Although there is some research to suggest protein pulse dieting may increase anabolism after lower protein intakes I would imagine that, in this case, it is simply because during the 7 days he lost a lot of water and glycogen and so he was undoubtably very depleted. Thus, when he started eating again, he got a massive rebound storage effect, became super-pumped, and hay-presto he gained instant muscle.

Now - I am not saying I flat out don't believe you... But I want proof of what youa re saying - not hear-say...
 
Okay guys... done with the 3 day juice fast and here's the deal...

Day 1 was pretty easy cuz we were all really pumped about doing it. Although around 2pm I started getting a really bad caffeine headache. (which didn't leave till Monday morning when I finally had a cup of coffee)
Day 2 SUCKED! SO hungry. I was weak and had a hard time getting anything accomplished. We basically sat around all day, drank juice and watched movies.
Day 3 was tough too. The caffeine headache was still hanging around and I had ZERO energy! We made it though and none of the six of us cracked. First meal after was white rice and eggs and tasted SO good.

We are taking it slow as far as what we have eaten today but I'm feeling really good today especially after getting some food in me.
Overall no complaints. And either way it's a great excuse to just sit around all weekend. :p
 
What kind of juice did you have? How much of it did you have per day?

We drank all organic 100% juice concoctions. Usually a bunch of different flavors all mixed in together- veggies and fruits.
Personally, days one and two I was drinking a little over 2 liters of juice per day- but on day three I slowed down a whole lot. I was trying to get close to 1500 calories in juice per day but it was tough.
