I would like to order my first set of kettle bells but I have no idea what weight to buy? There is no gym within resonable driving distance either that has kettle bells.........what would be a good starter weight on the kettle bells

no idea on max's any more but

225x4 bench
315x5 squat
405x1 deadlift

20kg is probably a decent place to start for you. That will offer a significant challenge on a variety of exercises.

Some lifts, like a front squat, might be easy. However, you will probably find these challenging for snatches, double swings, overhead pressing/push pressing, etc.

It also depends if you are looking to use them as a conditioning tool, or for strength gains. I used 16kg kettlebells when I was doing complexes. God complexes suck balls.

^ And if the front squats are too easy you can always do front split squats or if you are really strong pistols holding one KB. :)

get 1 53lber and 2x 35lbers

use the 53lber for 1 arm swings, cleans, snatches, presses etc.

I want to use them as more of a conditioning tool

Then I would say func's suggestion is pretty reasonable. The 35s (16kg) are what I used for my complexes. The 24kg would work well for higher rep snatches and such. Try double KB snatches. OMFG those shoot your heart rate up to ridiculous levels.
