I've just been diagnosed with a torn cartilege in left knee. feels like a nail piercing thru the side of knee when i bend it. not in pain all the time and docs are sending me to a specialist next week. An MRI provided the full picture.
I'm unsure exactly when it tore but I think it was due to poor form on squats which are never extremely heavy, about 100lbs. But it could have tore from damn near anything I guess.

Anyone ever had to deal with a torn cartilege in knee?
What was your outcome?

I hate it cause I love my squats followed by 20 minutes of cardio on the bike!
Thanks for this forum, it's been a real eye opener, and my thanks to some great moderators.

i was just looking at this the other day to explain a football injury to a client
I also know that my brother banged his meniscus up pretty bad last season in football, his doctor opted to avoid surgery and he has recovered and is now stronger, but he really had to work at the recovery. A lot of physical therapy.
