26 been lifting for 5 years 205Ibs 5'10 I can deadlift just not too heavy. Cant go to heavy on the quad extensions either. My leg workout consists of 4 sets of 8-12 reps of leg press, quad extension, ham extension, quad extension, ham extension, calf raises 15 reps, lunges 45Ibs 3 sets 20 each leg. Think thats good enough? I cant squat tried again last week felt good at warm up, then added 50 and had to stop cuz my knee felt like it was about to explode.

Agreed work the extensions and presses. Had/have knee problems found working the quads strengthen the knees.

Have you tried a lighter front squat? I find they don't bother my knees as much

If your knee feels like its going to explode then you need to get a diagnosis, its no good trying to work around it. Could be something serious could just be a patellar tracking problem. Find out what the problem is first, then rehabilitate the joint.

How long have you been injured, and how did you hurt it initially?

Get it looked at and get it rehabbed - otherwise, you risk long term permanent damage.

this ^^^ You are only 26 and shouldn't be having these issues..., get it looked at and rehab if need be

4 yrs of infantry and a rough deployment gave me a bad knee. Ty Dieseljimmy I did feel less pressure with the bar in front. Thanks for the advice guys
