L5 disk gone, vertabre?" crushed " had 4 nerves burned REMEDY FUSE BACK! HAS ANYBODY?

Went to Spinal Pain management today and had 4 nerves burned and why they were doing it I nearly went NUTZ. I know I'm already there. But they found something New that my Vertabre L5 is crushed and cracked, disk gone and my doctor told me that the only thing I can do that would help is Back FUSION L1 to L5. It's depressing since I have 31 years in and can continue to work but limits my ablility. Has anyone had this done and if I do it what am I in for. DEPRESSED.

L5 S1 fusion....long recovery but the pain relief is worth it.....took just over a year to get to the point where I was in less pain then I was be3fore.......4 Vertebrae fused is CRAZY...get a 2nd opinion

Sorry to hear that, however get a second opinion before you do anything. My entire lower back is fused including my sacroiliac joints and yes you do have to be careful and modify your lifting. It sucks but you can still workout.

I have complete disc herniations at L4-L5 and S1-S2...my orthopedic surgeon told me 50/50 shot that surgery could make it better or worst. I opted out of the surgery...

is this from working out, degenerative disc disease, etc..?

Work, done 31 years in the roads and bridges of N.Y.... been hit, but was upper torso right arm, chest. neck. 2 Hearts really not a big deal, second I will get. NO MORE deploys not sure how that sounds .. thanks bro's.....
