Last Minute Questions On Competing

This thread was created so that people can come to ask any last minute questions about competing. :D

I am competing in 6 days and know that i will have some things i would like to chat about.:)

If anyone else out there needs something answered i will also try my best to help you out, especially the "fitness chics".

BTW the photo shoot i did last week was in the paper Thursday, and it looked pretty good.:thumb:

My first question is: i picked up some magnesium to take before bed, i could only get it in 150mg capsules. How many and when should i take them? I have taken 2 before bed for the last 2 days, with my Calcium.

This was covered in your pm's! What did DP say?
 
I don't know if DP said to take them all at bed time? I believe he said 300-500g. Is that right DP?

My fingers and toes are really stiff and swollen today, any ideas on why?
 
J'Bo, we want to see 1000-1500 mg of calcium and 500-750 magnesium, everyday.

Also any Vit C, caffeine or say Dandelion tea (save the tea till Friday if you can)....will help rid the water should you not be expelling normally!


Stiff fingers and toes would suggest dryness, almost a pre-cramping.....but swollen sounds like mild edema! J'Bo update this first thing in the morning.......don't salt anything excessively and cut your water everyday by say 6 or 7 PM.

I have been taking one calcium (650mg) in am and one at my last meal with my three (150mg) of mag.

I also take a multi vitamin in am, a vitamin C, and some times an herbal fat burner when i have a long day ahead of me.
I will be taking an herbal diuretic friday every 3-4 hours til about 3pm.

I will cut my water in the evenings, but some times i am gulping 3 liters down because i only managed to get 5 liters down during the day. I can sip after 6pm though right?

Feeling good otherwise though.;)
 
Yes, in my feet it has.
Last night i did not cut my water though, because it was so low during the day.
I think my hands are stiff today because i was doing flexed arm hang the other day.
