I need some advice....please...
In my back routine I ve been doing both latpulldowns behind the neck and the front ones (can t do chin ups yet), I have kinda emphasised ones behind the neck...now I ve read that ones behind the neck are waste of time and one should only do lat pulldowns to the front.
What do u think....?

The ones behind the neck aren't a waste of time but they are dangerous because they put the rotator cuff in an awkward position so you are more prone of getting an injury.

If you build it they will come

I agree with LAIC, don't do pulldowns behind the neck.

Just because the majority believes it, does not make it true!

I was the same as you, I never had a problem doing them behind the neck but heard that its bad and stuff so I figured I'd give the front ones a try, I couldn't do as much weight at first but after a year of doing them, I'm doing more weight than I ever had to the back.

Tnx guys
I think I ll try doing only front ones, and it s just like that, I can do ones behind the back with a bit more weight then front ones...
Though I think I ll have to change my back routine a bit...haven t been doing nor BB nor DB rows, or DL s (only SLDL in my leg routine).....
I usually did sth like this
Pulldowns behind the neck 3s
T-bar rows 3s
hyperextensions 2s
close grip seated cable row 3s
front pulldowns 3s
evtl machine chin ups

together with beck delt and biceps.....
What do u think about that routine....should I do DB/BB rows (supposed to be better for mass?!)
Sorry if I bore u with all this questions, but I saw there are some pretty experienced people here..

I use to do alot of back work like you but now I just do weighted Pullups, Dummbell or Barbell rows and Deadlifts.
If I'm pushed for time, I just do the Deadlifts, they're all you realy need anyway.

Tnx..I guess I ll have to learn how to do Dead lifts properly, thing is I don t think know how to do them right...i ll find smn patiente in the gym to show me
SLDL however I do real fine
Tnx for advice....

It's only a high risk exercise if you are tight( inflexable) in this region. I have seen many people who can do this preform this exercise becuase they display the proper flexibilty in the shoulder girdle region.
