L-Lysine? i've never heard of this supplement even though i know it is a amino acid. what does it do?
Well, ever since i was a little kid, I tend get a cold sore on my bottom lip if I'm really stressed out or if I get a sunburn or a cold, and I'd been researching on ways to suppress this stuff for a while, because, dammit, let's face it it's ugly, gross and embarassing.

Turns out that you are more prone to get one (if you have the virus) if the arginine levels are higher than the lysine levels, so you balance it out by either eating foods that are contain lower levels of arginine, or by taking more lysine. Since I'm training and eating a hell of a lot of protein, plus my shakes which contain arginine (not to mention brown rice, oatmeal and wheat all have more arginine too), I need to keep the lysine higher. Hence the l-lysine tabs. It's made all the difference in the world for me.

Oh ok... That's funny when you say you down your shake to chase down the fish oil

I took the fish oil once and I was sick that same night, so psychologically I won't take fish oil any more. :barf:

I guess I wouldn't make a good candidate for fear factor would I? :D

Taking both of these may be an overkill. Too much Vit A builds up in your system and is not good. Why take a vitamin A supplement? 5000 iu/day is plenty.
