how cam people not see the solutions mitt is offering are going to result in bigger problems?

pbs isn't going anywhere the government only contributes a piddling 12 percent of it's operating fees. it will not make even the slightest dent in balancing the budget.

How can people not see the solutions Obama has offered have resulted in bigger problems?

Studies show that the educational boost kids get from watching PBS shows like Blue's Clues stays with them even throughout high school. Can't wait till Romney starts chopping away at public schools etc. Why should poor kids feel entitled to an education when it might make some fat cat have to pair his fair share of taxes. Every little bit counts except when it comes to taxing the wealthy FAIRLY.

"In the midst of the Great Depression, our government managed to fund some of the most enduring and memorable documentaries, photographs, art and dramatic plays this country has ever produced"

The U.S. is in need not only of health care reform, but also education reform, and PBS has spearheaded education in children and adults for decades. A study entitled G Is for Growing showed that children who watched "Sesame Street" in preschool spend more time reading for fun in high school, and they obtain higher grades in English, math and science. Another study conducted by the Education Development Center showed preschool children who participated in a curriculum incorporating PBS KIDS video and games into classroom instruction were better prepared for kindergarten than those who didn?t.

Romney made the declaration that since he's been in office Massachusetts schools have been ranked #1 in the country (when that title has actually belonged to Maryland for the past FOUR YEARS IN A ROW)

it's easy to say work hard and go to college. not so easy when the Governor puts it out of reach.

According to the Boston Globe, fees and tuition jumped 63 percent at Massachusetts? once-stellar system of public higher education from 2003 to 2007, as Romney slashed state funding year after year, for a total of $140 million, or 14 percent, in four years. Not surprisingly, average student debt in Massachusetts jumped 25 percent while Romney was governor. Between 2001 and 2011, tuition and fees have more than doubled at the state?s community colleges, state university and UMass campuses, but the bulk of the added burden piled up under Romney...

Palin is a Governor. It's not rocket science.

Romney doesn't even have any real plans for what he's actually going to do that's why his answers are so mercurial when he talks about them. If he wins he's going to be just as lost and terrified as a little boy in a monster closet.

Palin was governor and what exactly did she do or not do that would cause you to make so light of the position she held. You are a home daycare person, right? She was governor of Alaska, huh.

  1. Palin invested $5 billion in state savings during a time of economic surplus.

  1. Palin reduced spending by 9.5% from 2007 to 2010 and slashed earmark requests by over 80% during her time as governor.

  1. Under Palin, Alaska?s total liabilities were reduced by 34.6% overall.

Yup Palin did all that.

probably most of us could have a stupid tape made but Romney could have a very long liar one and very long unethical one.

^^^ yet she has still done more for this country then you...

Last I heard most of my school funding where I live is from the local level. If your public schools suck I would take a look at your local politics. Allot of funding is also based on performance, I read a study long ago, but I will save the trouble and not post a link because there is enough on this thread. But most schools that excel and are highly awarded schools say it is mostly due to their parents. Statics showed that all the schools that high a high level of parent involvement scored the highest. Not just involvement with the school, but time spent with their kids after school with help studying.

This study had zero impact on the income of the parent. It was a college professor that did this, because he felt schools are trying to suck up to much money. That no matter how much money we throw at kids to learn it will not teach them. That you can not just throw money at education to make a difference. People who are taught to have a desire to learn will learn no matter how much money their school has.

Obama thinks that throwing money at things solves the problem, but in reality it just puts a band aide on the severe wound that is ruining out country.

i think they all have big balls to put themselves out there knowing all the crap they are going to face from haters and opposition.

probably most of us could have a stupid tape made but Romney could have a very long liar one and very long unethical one.

There are webpages dedicated to the lies of Obama... Not to mention how he lied and attempted to cover up Libya. Lies to his country directly about a national crisis and tries to cover it up.

i hope if he wins he does a really good job but i'm kinda thinking he loses sight of the destruction that happens on the way to his goal. with an election it's funny how much you hope you have been wrong if your guy loses.

Palin doesn't deserve to be called governor. She quit when she realized she could make more jack doing book tours. The best thing she can do for the republican party is to stay the fuck away during election season. She is a big friggin joke. So, we may agree on this one issue. lol

Should a man who doesn't understand why he cant roll down his airplane window sincerely be considered to be president of such a powerful country let alone be in the running to actually become that said figure? I could see my toddler not understanding this particular statement in question, but the potential president of the USA just seems beyond ridiculous to me;was that really the best person they could find?.

well supposedly he was joking when he said that but the story spread like wildfire before that part of the story was told. if he was joking he should be pissed at the person that first told it like he wasn't.
