Lord of the Rings geek thread

Definately Prolang! :)

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" took in $34.1 million domestically on opening day, easily beating the debuts of the fantasy epic's first two installments, distributor New Line Cinema said Thursday.

It was a record debut for a movie opening on Wednesday, surpassing the $28.5 million take for "Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace" in 1999.

The film also had the sixth-best single-day gross ever, behind "Spider-Man" with $43.6 million and $39.4 million on two different days, "The Matrix Reloaded" with $37.5 million and $34.4 million on two different days, and "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" with $34.2 million.

I bet it does. I plan to see it again soon.

I plan to see it 5 times while in theaters. Can't beat that experience.

Well, I wanted to go yesterday but fade stayed out playing paintball way late :yell: So we are shooting for Friday afternoon.

I've watched the first two extended versions this weekend, so I'm all geared up :thumb:

Legolas is the one for me :eyebrow: ;)

Aragorn and Farimar!

I still liked him. Probably still saw him as the book character.

I was kinda bored with Tom Bomdabil. But the book was amazing!

Is Tom in the 3rd movie??? Or are you just refering to the book???

referring to the book. He's not in any of them.

I have to admit though there were some scenes that made me all teary eyed.

Peter Jackson did a kick ass job with what he had control over! (not to mention the millions of dollars worth of extra help!).

After watching the movie, its almost two much to take in. You have to sit back and reel in the last two movies and put the third in its place and by then.. damn.. its overwelhming!

Yea, some aspects didn't have justice, some characters weren't as developed but hell.. kick arse triology on the silver screen! READ THE BOOKS!

I can hardly wait to see it!!!

Anyone recommend a good scene to run to the bathroom during???

Honestly BF, there are no good scenes to run to the bathroom during! Watch it twice and go to the bathroom at different times :)

Dudes I saw it finally!!! I've been waiting for three years!!! Damn it was cool. And yeah damn right! You don't $&%@ with Samwise Gamgy!! He'll stick you first!
I've got to say that I am a bit saddened though. The adventures over now......very sad.

they say that there gonna make a Hobbit movie, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Whatever prolantum. How can you miss any scene with that babe in it? :)
