low body fat question

i was wondering... when i was at the peak of my cutting phase, at around 6% body fat, my abs where only slightly visible... my question is, can this be because

a) my diet might be too high in sodium and thus water is retained between the skin making me look smooth?
b) i might have to train my abs with more resistance, so they can grow
c) i need a lower % of bodyfat?

To be healthy, you should be around 9-12. Your body needs the fat. And when you're at those numbers, its not real visable to others. It's on the inside, protecting your vital organs.

But that's only what I feel as truth from what I've been told.

For me, whenever I train my Abs, I do soem cardio first for better effect, thn start crunching with different types of exercises, and increase the resistance as I proceed. It takes time, and a good diet. In Ab training, I like to feel the hard squueze.

Have you been measured at 6%? Competition BB are at like 3-5 when on stage so I find it hard to believe you can't see your abs well at 6, hell I'm at like 15-17 and I can see my abs pretty well.
