hey guys
i have jus lost over 39 kilos and im finidn it hard to lose any more weight
i have jus started doing weights and ihave been doing boxing classes for
6 months . i normally do 3 hours of boxing /cardio 3 times a week and i walk 6kms in the morning an of a night im currently eating 2100 calories a day and burning 3000 to 4000 calories a day but i havent be able to lose weight for 6weeks i basically eat vegies / grilled chciken/ fruit /and drink loads of water i dont think i could be eating any better the only bad thing i eat is bread but its only 2 slices a day in the morning can you guys give me any advice

2 Slices in the am isnt going to kill ya. Start weight training and you will be doing wonders! You realize that if you add lean body mass, then your body will weigh more which will mean your body will have to consume more calories to keep at a caloric maintenence level.

And how long have you been at a caloric deficit for? After 3 months at a significant deficit, your results are going to come to a screeching hault. You need to slwoly up your cals 200 per week unti lyou hit maintenance, then drop back down slowly. It is almost like reseting your body... and as DD said, weight training helps burn that stubborn fat. I have cut out ALOT of cardio from my training and replaced it with hard weight training and am still seeing pretty good fat loss.

every thing i read is cardio burn fat burn calories blah blah blah
i burn more calories doing the boxing then do doin weights ?
what would you recommend for legs bum and hips ???
ive been doing low weights high reps but i was told i might be making my legs and bum bigger doing lunges and squats ?

You may burn more calories doing boxing, but thats not the main point. The main point is adding lean body mass and upping your caloric maintenece.

Besdies if you are just losing weight you go from a large pear to a small pear. Losing weight does not reshape the body, weight lifting does.

ok then so more weight training how do i go about making a program i dont know nothing do you know of a good book or work out i could try

Well you could start by reading the stickies at the top of the training forum.

Another option is talk to a personal trainer at your gym. Its not very easy to throw a workout program out there because people who are starting weight training, normally have lots of different muscle imbalances which can lead to injury. In your best interest I would see a trainer and have him/her evaluate you.

The stickies in the Training section of this site are a goldmine of knowledge. Don't be afraid to ask question too in that section. There are some really educated people around here.

i jus go to a pcyc or ymca ... they is jus a weights room no trainers or any thing most of my weight is in my legs and bum ?lol:nerd:

Things they need to look at is your:
1. Posture
2. Balance
3. Core Strength
4. Stabilization

Just things of that nature.

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
i jus find it hard to get my point across ... i wanna lose weight and gain muscle but there is so many scams out there ..

i had a look at the stickys but its like its in another language lol its all abbreviated and i dont know shit about these workouts and the like

This is where its a good time to spend some money on a trainer. Are you sure the Y has no trainers?

I really have no idea where to start you at beings I cant check ya out.
