Hi guys,

I have the following situtation: due to my schedule, I always workout in the morning before I go to work. I work at a university, and the gym is in the kinesiology building at the university, so I head straight to work after working out. I'd like to be able to make a post work-out protein/calorie shake, but given that I'm at work, I can't really get too fancy (no blender, etc.) Currently I just mix some whey protein with water and shake it up in a water bottle, but I'd like to add some things to give some extra calories. Because I'm at work and only have a little tiny fridge, unfortunately milk's no good. Anyone have any suggestions for calorie-dense ingredients that I could combine with my whey they would taste OK (I'm not too picky about taste) and mix well with water in a water bottle?

Cheers.

How about milk instead of water? Also, you could bring some fruit with you and some nuts.

As I said milk won't work very well because there's only a very small fridge, not large enough for a carton of milk. I actually take fruit to work already; usually a banana and some nectarines or apricots or an apple, but I'm looking for extra calories. Nuts would probably be a good idea. Any other suggestions, particularly to put in with my whey?

You are limited because you don't have a fridge. Nuts and nut butters are your best option because of them caloricly dense. You could add oats but they won't mix too well without a blender.
