Just 9 months ago I could incline bench 390 Lbs for one rep. I was also on gear at that time. I'm been cutting for almost 9 months. My calorie intake is now 2650 cal's with only 100 grams of carbs a day and I'm gear free. As of today my max incline bench is only 265 lbs.

Note: I have dropped 61 lbs in weight and now weigh 219 lbs. I guess that's not to bad for a guy getting ready to turn 53 yrs old! This kind of bums me out seeing my bench go down everytime I work chest, but when all of you are stuck, look how fun for me it's gonna be after this fucking diet is over watching my bench rise like hell.

Note: This is the lightest I've weighed in over 35 years

Yeah, your doin good for an old guy:).
Thats why i wouldnt do gear, your strong for a little while and not for the rest.
Then you take more to be strong, and more to be stronger, endless cycle.

Tough I just got back from my buddies wedding, his wife is a Doctor and all the brides maids were to.....3 of the grooms men were guys who are or did juice heavily.......their were some fun discussions about steroids that night. If Lam was there we might have won the debate.

Hey brother some guy named tough justed posted in open chat about you. wish i would have been ther too. Hey we have some home made things to make next month. should be fun i hope. as long as we don't fuck it up.
Also funny thing. Every Saturday i take up donations for the orfanages down here at Bajamar golf and resort. Run into a lot of doctors. I have no problem telling them i juice here and there. They say I'm fucking crazy. I get into a lot of debates with them also. Fuck em. I'm in better health now then i was a year ago.

Bench is my first lift to go south, legs and curls take awhile to fall as well as back movements.

Don't feel bad. If I take a week off, or I cut too aggressively, my bench always goes down, and I am only 20. My bench press loves to teeter around the same point and plateau for extended periods of time before making a slight surge. That's still an impressive incline press, I must say. My squats are kinda like that too, although their upward surges are longer.

you have to look at the facts:

1) you were on gear and now you aren't.
2) you are taking in less calories which means less energy.
3) you have lost weight (possibly some muscle).
4) you probably weren't doing any type of strength training program that was specific to increasing or maintaing your bench press.
5) you have a torn rotator cuff muscle

If you lives closer and wasn't suck a big MF, I'd get, over there and kick your ASS.
mudge you are so right when it comes to Benching. It goes south when cutting and no gear. Thanks Pat as your right, i'ts one of those you posted

p-funk is right without "better living through chemistry" the upper limits you had achieved weren't really yours to keep. So now you are coming back to reality which is not all that bad. Congratulations on the loss of 61 lbs that is worth more than what you lost on your max bench. I am 54 and I know how hard it is.
