Debate is what the forums are all about, there's a lot of grey area so just because your opinion differs from others doesn't make you wrong but being able to back your claims up will help your cause. :)

I have an article on here that backs my claims up. I don't see anyone else backing their claims.

And that was my point to the others. :)
Although, I'm sure there are other studies that probably do dispute what you or I may come up with.

All I am saying is that strength and size are two different things, believe it or not I am not out to insult you man, you are just making claims that are not being backed up by any studies despite what you say, but hey, you go ahead and max out every day and we will see how far your training progresses. but yo I have 1 word for you: hypertrophy

Maybe I should have just said.........

NO PERSONAL ATTACKS!!

I'm not taking anyones side but it would be nice to see some proof either way.

I don't know what kind of proof you want. A scientific study? I can't come up with that sorry. This guy thinks I max out every day. Who is he kidding? When did I say I maxed out every day or showed support for maxing out every day? Once a month is the most I max out. There aren't going to be too many people who are against that.

How about personal preference, everybody can just do what works for them and not argue so much about it. You all have very good opinions and should stick to what you believe in.

Prince, holy crap, I hadnt noticed how many posts you had til now, thats a lot! Nice job.:) :thumb:

wow. I definitely sparked some interest around here

:)

Ask a competitive bodybuilder how much ya bench and he`ll probably tell you he doesn`t know or care, and that the judges don`t ask him, they just want to see balanced development with size and cuts.Wolfpack, even a smart powerlifter never maxes out once a month, the strain on the system is amazing, they save their max attempts for a meet, and usually do doubles, triples, and sets of five.Going for a max is ego tripping, I am not weak by any stretch of the imagination, but I compete in B.B., why risk injury for doing something that`s not going to do a hell of a lot for my pec development. Can you say pec tear? It`s not pretty, work on you doubles, and triples, and form, with sets of sub-maximal weights and you`ll do better at your next meet.I was also a competitive powerlifter ,not just an armchair athlete,so I beleive I`m qualified to throw in my 2 cents. C-Ya!
