Maximum Protein Intake

Okay, here's another question.
What is the maximum grams of protein that I am supposed to have per meal?

And for that matter, what about carbs and fat too?

Thanks, I was just wondering because like Monday night I had the talapia for dinner and that has a lot of protein and I wondered if that was too much per meal?
 
A never ending debate but, basically, most successful competitors consume 1-2 grams (per day) per pound of lean bodyweight. Carbs and fat depends on your goals (gaining, cutting up). Spread your protein in 5-7 servings.
 
I generally try to get between 30-35 g per meal, depending on what meal it is, sometimes maybe 40 post w/o, but not often...I think for me anything over that is wasted. I think it really depends on the individuals size.

As said fat & carbs depend on the goals. On the high fat/low carb diet we've been talking about 10-15 g of fat w/ each meal, again depending on what meal it is.....maybe 20 g for a larger guy, on a bulk, etc. For you Fit, I'd say 10-15 g.
 
what is the latest idea about frequency?

if you eat about 30 grams of protein in a meal is 3 hours how long you need before your body can use more?

sometimes if i get a late start my schedule leaves me trying to squeeze a small meal in only 2 1/2 hours after the last one.

usually just a can of tuna and some veggies when that happens. can your body assimilate protein 2 1/2 hours after the last meal?

Well what do you mean by wasted. Even if your body doesn't use the Protein to make Lean body mass. It can still use it for energy. Although as some people have pointed out a large portion of it own energy is used to digest it. But it still tastes good. :D

It's rather annoying though when that extra energy is used for Gastral discharge. :D
 
I try for every 3 hrs NG, I wouldn't go more than 4, so if you're left w/ a choice between 2.5 & 4...I'd choose the 2.5!
