well this may be kind of a stupid question but does wearing under armour have any effect on your bench press. I am asking because bench shirts are very tight and keep muscles tight, like under armour, and i can always seem to bench a little more when i wear it, so the wquestion is...... Is Under Armour the poor mans bench shirt

I would only use it if it gave me a better form. Something that doesn´t happen because of it.
IMO you should not use it just because you wanna lift heavier.

EDIT: I don´t like the idea of bench shirts.

lol.. I didn´t answer your question. :D
I don´t believe that Under Armor helps.

I've been thinking of trying Under Armour boxers. Just heard they were comfortable. What made you buy it???
I doubt it would provide enough support to improve bench, but I could be wrong.

No way. Takes a few people to get someone into a bench shirt. Its your imagination.

It just makes you look buff lol, doubt it effects ur lifts much at all. Mostly mental but hell if its workin for ya keep at it.

Are we talking a brand of T shirt or Football gear?

If we are talking T shirts its completely in your mind and/or due to just being comfortable and 'in the zone.'

Never heard of this before, the only time I have ever used under armour was during football games, it does keep you body felling cool. But I doubt they have anything to do with your lifts. It???s just not tight enough

It helps me mentally if I lift without a shirt on. I have no idea why, but it does.

Yeah, it's not tight enough. If you ever watch a powerlifting competition, notice how them big ass guys can't even put their arms at their sides. That shit is skin tight. I used one once, and my buddy and his mom had to pull it over me.

A friend of mine sells discount Under Armour on the web. I bought one T-shirt from him to try. Now, I hate going to the gym without it on. I think I just like the way it feels on, very tight. I lift more with it on, I guess be cause I try more. It is definitely mental, but who cares. I'd wear a tu-tu if I thought it would help.

By the way, I wear it under a regular t-shirt for the record. Just wearing the UA shirt would be a little weird IMO.

I already do this when I do squats. I feel more graceful.

^^^ Really? I'll have to try that. Currently I only use a pink tu-tu when doing bent over rows, and SLDL's. Seems to make the weight more 'airy'.
