is mayo good for cutting fat and maintaing/adding muscle? also, what about low fat mayo? is it necessarily better or worse than regular mayo?

Mayo is pure fat with a little sugar and egg. How was it you thought it was ging to help ;you cut fat ?

you can try safflower mayo. it still has 11 grams of fat per Tbs (so you'll have to determine if it "fits" in your eating plan) but it's high in omega 6 efas and vitamin e.

if the Hollywood brand is available where you shop - it's darn tasty. (in California you can buy it at regular chain grocery stores)

and exactly what does that mean ?

if it fits into your daily caloric intake there is no problem with using it...the majority of fats in real mayo are monounsaturated...

I have been advised that mayo is not really a bad source of fat. But as mentioned above, verify if it fits into your daily cal intake.

As NG said, Safflower mayo is great. If you want to make your own I have a recipe in the recipe forum on EFA Mayo and very good.
