Your right, I don't have the power to change anything in Washington. But wait, couldn't the same logic be applied to abortion. Aren't both issues voted on in congress? The way I see it, I have the same amount of power to sway the vote of legalizing abortion as I do to stay out of war. I have just 1 vote, which is not much power in the grand scheme of things.

The government needs a certain amount of free will to go to war. Otherwise, they'd be too slow to react to a crisis. They also couldn't act on knowledge that isn't (and perhaps, shouldn't) be public knowledge. The same cannot be said for abortion.

Fetuses are not children, btw.

Fetuses are humans, in the same way that a child and an adult are human. But I'll give you that point. After all, I don't consider Arabs to be human.
