1lb of Ground Turkey
1lb of Ground Sirloin
Coursly Ground Oats
2 Cloves of Garlic
2 T. Oregano
2 T. Basil
2 tsp. Onion Powder
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp. Red Pepper
Egg Beaters
1-2 Jars of Low Sugar Sauce

Grind up oats and place in a bowl. Add Garlic, Oregano, Basil, Onion Powder, Salt Red Pepper and any other spices you want. Stir together. Add Egg Beaters. Make enough to make the Oats into thick mixture. Let sit for 1/2 hour. Add water as necessary to keep it moist and not too thick. Mix in Ground Beef and Ground Turkey. Form into meatballs and pan fry with cooking spray just to brown the outsides. Put sauce into a crock pot and add meatballs. Keep Crock pot on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.

Damn they were sooooo GOOOD!

:D thanks, Jodi!

any idea about how much oats you used?

Probably 3/4 - 1 C. It wasn't too much.

Thats awesome Jodi. :thumb:

Being sicilian, meatballs are a staple in my diet. I have been experimenting for a while to find a heathful, but tasty recipe. Its easy to make it healthful, but tough to make it tasty. Ill try this out.

Thanks very much.

Weird-Ive been makeing a recipe similar to this these past few weeks. The differences are:

-Ground chicken breast/no sirloin
-Did not grind up the oaties
-Added taco spice, and other spice to taste
-Baked at 350 for about 20-25 mins on a cookie sheet!

The great thing is if you are on the run you can just throw two (or more) of them in a ziploc and take them with you! Each meatball is around 3oz.:)

:nanner: made them this weekend. it went very well :D thanks Jodi!

OH MAN I was just thinking about meatballs this weekend - THanks Jodi!

they're really really good....

i used Classico mushroom and ripe olive sauce (b/c I love mushrooms and olives). it's a nice choice if you like 'em. (1 g fat and low on the sugar...i think 6 grams but i don't have it in front of me)

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
I hope you all like them :D
