hi!

long story short- i started doing cardio and weights about 3 months ago and i've lost about 15 lbs. been eating veggies, brown rice/beans, and proteins for the most part. however at this point in time my regular meals aren't satisfying me anymore, and i'm getting to the point where i *need* another 2 meals to tell my stomach to shutup

my goal is weight loss, at least another 15lbs. i've always been told i've had a high metabolism (i'm actually a very skinny dude who ate wayyyy too much back in the day) and that it's hit a new high now, so my regular diet isn't working

but if i keep eating another 1-2 meals a day (i eat 4-5x a day currently, usually around 1600-1800 cals, so basically with another 1-2 meals i'm prolly around 2k+ cals) won't that be counter effective to fat loss? i want to please my stomach but also lose the weight

i've sort of plateued at my weight loss for the last 2 weeks and i've just been getting hungrier and hungrier

Can you give me your macronutrient breakdown? Grams protein, carb and fat, and total fibre.

Also, describe in detail your current training. Cardio type and duration, weight routine, reps, sets, weights lifted... all of it.

I am going to suggest a refeed, followed by a change in your training and macronutrient mix once you give me some more information, okay?

hi and thanks!

i looked through the nutrition info and this is my estimate. i pretty much only eat when i genuinley feel hungry (about 2-3 hours)

~180g carbs. i avoid sugars as much as i can, and i probably eat around ~40g of fiber from veggies, beans, brown rice, ezekial bread

~100g protein from chicken/beans and a turkey patty

~50g fat from nuts, some butter, and a little bit from coconut milk (i make curries with the vegetables)

my meals are usually beans/rice + a protein (usually chicken) + veggies. i only drink water and maybe a diet pepsi once in awhile

i run 4x a week in the morning around the block, about 20 minutes. 2x i am doing weights and the exercises are incline dumbbell press, dips, military press, and squats. each one i do 8x with 3 sets. my plan is to lose fat first and when i reach my goal i want to work on getting some bulk (i want to look normal in a shirt again first haha)

also i've always been able to eat tons of food at once for being a skinny framed guy, like that one kid who keeps winning the national hot dog competitions. i put on and gain weight pretty easily so i figured that must be a higher metabolism (until i plateau anyways)

What is your current weight n height?

i'm slightly under 5'6" and around 140lbs right now. my normal weight before i got chubbified was a little under 130lbs. my frame is really small, like even a small shirt looks a little big on me. i was at 155lbs but went down to 140lbs and still have some fat on my chest/sides and tummy. it sucks cause even a little weight looks bad on me

are you really in india? my family is from kerala :)

You're THIN! You're basically my height and weight!

Honestly, I'd stop cutting, go to maintenance and try to do a little recomposition.

Yes:)

by recomposition does that mean redoing macro nutrients?

yeah that height and weight ratio sounds pretty normal to me. maybe try hiit to maximize the fat loss and drink tons of water to fill you up ( i drink about 2 tubs of crystal lite a day). haha

thanks for the advice :) i think i did solve my dilemma

i figured out the extra hunger was from abdominal discomfort due to me increasing the number of complex carbs i eat lately, and for me they are apparently extra tough to digest (milk also does *not* agree with me). i was mistaking it for hunger and not helping by eating more when it occurred- it would help for a bit, but then the discomfort would come back within an hour

i'm taking some beano and other digestive aid now and my fake-hunger is totally gone. no more bloated tummy look and i'm able to eat my normal routine again and don't have any 'pangs' for 3-4 hours now and am feeling very very good!
