OK, let me throw a wrench into this whole thing:
I'm trying to figure out how to best lose fat weight. I'm 35 yo (male) 5'10 and about 250#. To look at me at the gym, you'd think I was a powerlifter. To look at me on the street, you'd think I was a fat man--because I have a big gut that won't go away (but you can hide under a t shirt in the gym).
I have a very thick back and chest, great v-taper, very large thighs and legs--and also a big flabby gut (was 47" at 270#).
Now the history: I was a fat kid and a fat adult (weighed over 350 when was in my early 20's) and got down to about 190 when I first fell in love with exercise. In my late 20's I began weightlifting and contemplated bodybuilding but I could never get my dbodyfat low enought to get rid of the 'smooth' offseason look. My best attempt at fat loss was 7% bodyfat.
Anyhow, ever since then, I find it very easy to put on lean muscle and increase overll strength. But I find it increasingly difficult to control my gut! Imagine Arnold with a sack of jello around his midesction and that's me.
Right now I'm having moderate success (lost 20#) doing slimfast plan, with Stacker2. Long term, I'm worried that I'll have to eat like this permanently to keep the fat off. I noticed that the drop from 265 to 250 went very fast but now its slowed already.
I would just like to know what the best way to do this is.
Thanks!
