I decided a few weeks ago that I would take advantage of the GI Bill and go back to school for my masters degree. I recently bought the Microsoft Office Professional Plus program (which was recommended by the University) and I'm just floored with how much detail is in this program.

Does anyone have any experience using this program? Or quick tips to learn to navigate it? Thanks!

just treat it like the other traditional MS Office software titles. a lot of the web based features are only really useful in a group/shared work environment where multiple persons are working on/off a single document, etc. along with the added mobile access to the Office titles.

You're right. I read that one of the perks was the group sharing feature that simplified the effort for a group project. I just wanted to learn how to use the 'shortcuts' the program has to offer. (cover letter option, resume option, reference option) Seems like a lot of stuff they threw into this program)

Do any of you have other free online learning courses or websites? Maybe dealing with computer programming or something to that nature.

If you go to download.cnet.com (I think) there is a whole bunch of programs that are available for free download. You could always google it, too. I recently purchased the Microsoft Office Professional Plus for 22.00 bucks!! Through academic superstore. All you have to do is fax them a copy of your school ID card. Best Buy wanted almost 200.00 for it.

You might check this out, they're not videos but pdf downloads, I think you have to sign up but they have a bunch of how to guides you can download for free

And thanks for the reps guys, I don't have enough posts yet to reply to PM's.

you have to be a little more specific. there are many types of programing, however if you would like to learn how I would start out with some basic DOS based scripts and go from there.

I have a minor in computer applications, " Microsoft Office, VB, and some very basic Photoshop "which i have forgotten how to use since i haven't used Photoshop in over three years".

However i would like to learn some SQL, DOS, anything that will help me to be more marketable. Also how to fix or manipulate a pc/mac.

I started thinking after i had my computer worked on. The help desk guy went into my computer and started to delete, change and remove stuff i didn't even now i had on my PC. Programs i thought i had removed a long time ago.
