Military Press/Push Press

I decide to give a try at Military Press/Push Pess just now and really enjoyed the whole process, esp. the part where I 'exploded' up the huge barbell.

However, my questions are...

1) When doing Military/Push Press, are we mainly training our Shoulders and Triceps?

2) Is it OK to perform Military/Push Press directly before a regular Seated Dumbbell Press?

Push presses work the same muscles as militaries;the delts and tris.The quads and hips are also recruited to a degree from the knee dip used.The advantage of push presses over regular presses, is that more weight can be used.I don't think the order of exercises matters much unless you are trying to emphasize a specific exercise.In that case, I would perform that exercise first, then use any additional exercises as assistance work.

*** I would suggest performing lifts that stimulate the neuromuscular system the most first in your program. As fatigue sets in the ability to coordinate movements decrease which can lead to injury.
