I don't know how this is possible, but my friend thinks he developed an infection over two months after his last injection. Its a grape type bump under his skin that is where his injection site was that is slightly painful when you push on it. He wants to get it checked out but he's in the military so is afraid to go to the Dr. If he goes to an ER and pays cash or something like that, will he be ok? Or will the military find out about it?

say it's a bee sting or something. army medics and doctors aren't that smart. if you say you got stung by something, then you got stung by something. it makes no difference as to the treatment. fyi 2 things: 1. an infection under the skin is generally an abcess. after two months, it wouldn't be a grape anymore. it would be a softball. 2. i'm an army medic. believe me, we're retarded.

That's why it seems so strange, everything was completely fine for the 2-3 months after his last shot. The pain and grape literally JUST appeared 3 nights ago. That's why its hard to believe its an infection, but what else could it be? I feel you though on the sting is a sting, even if he went to a regular clinic, the doctor couldn't prove it WASNT a bee sting even if he didn't believe it was, right?

the doctor is absolutely not going to look at a lump on someone's skin and think "there's anabolic steroids in there..." 3 months after his last shot, a lump appears on the general vicinity of his injection site? it is a bug bite or something. it's not an infection from injecting.

I doubt anyone would care to run a full series of diagnostic tests on a patient who's just looking for an antibiotic for a bee sting. Perhaps there would be alarm if your friend mentioned the bee sting has caused excruciating pain and he requires a fresh prescription of OxyContin, but that's not the case. He just needs an antibiotic, and he probably wouldn't be questioned much further by a practicing doctor, let alone an army medic.

if i suspected someone of aas use, i'd ask if they have a legit source and then we'd compare cycles.

lol this made me giggle.
But I mean what are the odds of a bee stinging him on his upper right ass cheek? lol. But yeah I get the point. What if the abscess needs to be drained? Couldn't it have like oil in it or something?
Sorry if my questions are retarded. I know nothing about this, just doing a favor for my friend.

an abcess is disgusting on the inside. it's all blood and pus. you'd never notice oil in it, even if it were a legit abcess 5 days after injection, let alone months later. most providers don't get that close to an abcess when they drain them. we do them a lot, they squirt and they f*cking stink like rotting flesh

Well definitely good news then, but pretty fucking gross lol. thanks for all the answers everyone.

Do you have any left over antibiotics ? Not only that he could go the any pharmacy and the pharmacist could prescribe him antibiotics for is an the infection would be gone in two days. I was in the military just tell him to go to the clinic he will get out of pt for the morning and get it treated if un treated it could turn into a much worse problem (mrsa)

if your friend is active, just tell him to go get treated. mtf pharmacies do not prescribe anything. don't give or take other people's left over antibiotics. there is no antibiotic protocol that i know of that lasts for only 2 days. mrsa is a type of bacterial infection, not a severity of infection.

They won't think AAS is the cause though an abscess may suggest to a doc a dirty injection which could raise curiosity but not likely. Sick call is an assembly line and they want to give you the minimum care possible and get you out of there. If he's really worried about it he can go to the ER and just show them his civilian ID. It wont get back to military unless he tells them. Trust me, the military doesn't care enough to go snooping around for this type of shit.

MTF wont prescribe him anything but if he is scared he can go to a pharmacy off base.....And if he is so scared he can take bactrim or w/e he feels necessary. And if left untreated it can lead to mrsa or it could even be mrsa its more common then you think..And I never said anything about a protocol I said after he takes antibiotics the lump would go down usually by the second day.

LOL

really though most army medics aren't gonna give a fuck even if they did think you were using AAS. Bee sting sounds fine, any kind of puncture could lead to an abscess so they aren't gonna automatically assume it's steroids. Besides I don't think the military really cares as much as they pretend to, it makes them look good to the public but if their soldiers wanna gear up I doubt it's really an issue to them.
