Most Lifters are Still Beginners with Mark Rippetoe

Really enjoyed reading that Marat thanks, i used his videos on youtube to learn the squat and the deadlift, i think he is best at making lifts easy to understand.

Glad you enjoyed it.

The youtube videos are good but they are incomplete. I highly recommend the DVD that goes with the Starting Strength book. It's an invaluable perspective on how the major lifts should be taught and learned.

great read, straight and to the point, no BS.

haha, I know about the "soccer player phenomenon" all to well. So many waste their potential by not eating enough food.

great article.. i really appreciate it since i'm relatively new to lifting.. maybe i can use this to my advantage

Yeah, I have so many asshole friends who have the nerve to complain to me that they can't gain weight, and weight training only makes them LOSE more weight.

This is when my endomorphic mind just LOSES it and I say, BECAUSE YOU DON'T !@#$ING EAT ENOUGH FOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then they have the nerve to tell me, well I can gain weight, but then when I stop eating so much, I lose it all....

This is when I start considering the left hook to the temple....

You added muscle to your frame, of course your body will require more calories....
