ok, I'm really into getting my body ready for summer. you know... exposing my abs, building my arms and chest... blah blah

but The more I research, the more I find that it's VERY expensive!!

NOT including supplements, all this protein, like steak, fish, and balanced meals, and bottled water, and even my membership adds up!! I have bills to pay,

are there any of you out there who can help me out with some cheap methods you use? I already have the membership, and I sold my old set up to pay for the down payment.

I mean, do you get food or supplements for cheap anywhere? I'm not very well off.. PLEASE HELP ME!

Tap water=very cheap
Tuna=30 cents a can=30 grams protein, 0 carbs
boneless chicken=3-5 bucks

I live on the east coast(MD) and use dpsnutrition.com. I get my supplements the next day. Whey protein for 5 lbs=28 bucks

Just a few starters for you. If you begin with at least a gallon of water a day, and 1 gram per pound of body weight for protein, this will get you started.

I agree with the above posts.... chicken, rice, tuna and water are inexpensive.... works quite well and will not break the bank.

I agree also,

Dozen large eggs $1.50
Skinless, boneless, chicken breast $1.59 per pound
Tuna is very cheap
Tap water is what I drink

Multivitamin
My one month bottle is $16.00

If you are just starting out I wouldn't worry about Creatine, Glutamine, etc

I probably save a great deal of money fixing my meals every day and eating what I eat.

I use dpsnutrition also. Best buy on whey I've found yet. 10lb. bag for $48.95. Don't go to GNC. Even on their Gold Card days they are higher than hell.

You might try one of the price club type places like SAMS CLUB;COSTCO or whatever type store you have in your area.
Alot of the time if you can find a "butcher" or wholesale meatpackigng facility you can get your meats in bulk and freeze it in individual servings until you need it.TIP=the individual packs keep longer if you vacuum pack it.You could even pre-cook your meals and vac-pac them and they'll keep for weeks @ a time. The initial investment may seem like alot, but you'll save $$ by not trying to eat healthy @ restaurants
Iuse dpsnutrition.com too & they're a great help if you can't afford regular retail prices.

how much do you pay for gym membership?

I pay $25 a month. I wouldn't join a gym that required a down payment or a contract. I also reccomend joining Sam's Club or Costco. I go there once a month and load up on everthing. I get 5 dozen eggs for $3.50, not bad. The membership price will pay for itself the first time you go there, I think it's well worth it.

Sams Club rocks..........

as far as protein the cheapest way would be eggs, tuna and milk (not mixed together though!):D

If you cannot afford supps, don't worry about it. However, creatine and glutamine are not that expensive.
