I am a little confused about whether muscle milk contains creatine or not. It says that it causes the body to produce more of its own creatine. It contains, "gcc (proprietary endogenous creatine precursor consisting of glycosyamine, betsine anhydrous)". Can someone put that into laymens terms.

Also everyone who has tried it or read about it knows it tastes great, so lets forget about the taste. Who here has used it for a while and what were your results? Did you gain weight, fat/muscle, did you lose any weight?

Also would it be better to take it on the days you workout or on rests days? Since I am trying to loose fat to define my abs I will be limiting it to my days I either workout or do cadio and from what I read is best to take before going to sleep. Any thought or opinions?

Muscle Milk does not contain creatine. It has alot of fat in it, so your diet will have to be pretty good if your trying for a 6 pack. Take it like a normal protein shake. 2 scoops=32 grams of protein. Obviously you will need alot more than that if your trying to build muscle. IMO I wouldnt take it because of all the fat.

I am also taking pro performance mega whey extreme, 1 scoop 3 times a day for a total of 60 grams of protein by itself. Not to mention 6 hardboiled egg whites and whatever else I will eat for lunch or dinner. I will be taking the extra calories under consideration which is why I will only be using it on days I know that I will burn the extra calories. As far as the fat I am not worried about since my daily diet consists more often than not of 30 or less grams of fat, plus the fat in muscle milk is in the form of medium chain triglycerides which are less likely to be stored as fat.

triglycerides is fat stored in your blood. Search the forum there was somebody on here talking about starting to lose a 6 pack while on muscle milk.

There are different triglycerides, medium chain and long chain. The long chain are the bad ones, do a google search on medium chain triglycerides and you will see on just about every link it backs up what is said on muscle milk. I have also read for the benifit of medium chain your diet must contain atleast 50% of it and musle milk contains 80%. I am not an expert I am only going by what I have read, there is alot of interesting info to read about mct if you google it. I will try searching for that topic, I cant imagine unless you are taking in more calories than you are burning that you could gain fat, If he
were bulking I would think anyone would gain alittle fat assuming that is the case in that issue. Anyway I appreciate your thoughts and opinions and welcome anymore.

I drank a muscle milk shake everyday for months and got down to 5% bf without doing a single minute of cardio. I was busting my ass lifting weights and eating clean as hell though. The shake was helping me keep my sanity on a carb cycling diet.

If you drink a shake on it's own, that's 348 calories, which is not a hell of a lot on it's own. The fats are largely MCTs which are not as likely to be stored as fat. Just don't drink the shake combined with other foods in the same meal if you're trying to cut, use it as a meal replacement on its own.

There's nothing magical about Muscle milk I don't think, it's just a protein shake that tastes awesome. I wouldn't want all those calories right before bedtime though while cutting.

When did you take it and how often? The thought of taking it right before bedtime also raised an eyebrow for me, I was considering taking one scoop with one scoop of mega whey extreme to cut the calories a little bit but I still want to hear more opinions with people with hands on experience before I decide on how and when I want to take it.

Well, I drank one almost everyday. I'd do 3 days of low carb where I would drink it, the 4th day would be high carb and I would not drink it on that day usually. I drank it a couple hours before dinner usually while I was at work.

For bedtime I like a scoop and a half of ON 100% casein or something similar with a few grams of fish oil caps.

Not a bad idea to use only one scoop of it with some other protein powder though.

Drinking it before bed while bulking would be a good idea though right?

stuff is great. I used it to put on 12 lbs while maintaining a low fat %.

Glad to hear that, how many servings a day did you take, and how long did you use it for?

I used it twice daily-once in the morning with my oatmeal mixed and once before bed. Now what I did to spread out the cheap ass amount of servings they give you is I only put one scoop of MM in it and 1 scooop of why. Combine all of this with a great diet and you have a pretty decent chance of gaining some good weight.

it wasa actually pretty smart :bulb: now that I look back because I had the best of both-a quick digesting protein and a slow digesting.:thumb:

Thats actually what I am doing, first thing in the morning I take whey and 20 minutes later I take the muscle milk, and do this at lunch and before going to sleep.

i was drinking two a day. one in the morning, and one after my work out.

i never actually had a six pack, but i had a flat stomach. no more though!! i went from 158 lbs to 172 lbs !!! this is with no cardio though, just protein shake, swole v2 and eating like a fucking pig dude. im about to order another tub and gonna try this with regular cardio in my work outs.
