Muscle Soreness...OUCH!!!!!!!!

What do I take for muscle soreness??? I did hamstrings on Tuesday, and I can still barely sit walk on Sunday!!! I take a tablespoon of glutamine after training...does that help at all???
 
rest, rest and more rest! massage and hot tubs can help to get blood flow in the muscles, but there is no magic potion that I know of.

if you're still that sore from 4 days ago, I would say that you went a little too hard on your hamstrings.
 
Glutamine will have no effect whatsoever.

#1: Drink a lot of water.

#2: Moderate and periodic warmth and massage.

#3: Moderate and periodic movement.

#4: Aspirin or something.
 
When my legs are sore like that (they are never sore for that long after) the next time i am inthe gym i will go hit the leg sled or leg curl machine and do 20 to 30 reps with super light weight. this will get the blood flowing and make the legs feel alot better. Just be sure to use very light weight. you just want to get the blood flowing and that is it.
 
Hickey is right about doing some light work,just don't do the same amount that inflicted the sorness,if you do get some massage be wary of what kind,deep tissue will take the body some more time to recover.

One thing that really helps me for relieving soreness is a regular stretching routine. Another thing that helps is taking warm showers or baths. Warmth will help relax the muscles. Like Prince said, massage is also good. But, as far as I know, there are no supplements out there that take away soreness. They might claim to but they're a waste of money. Regular stretching, warm baths or showers, and massage are the only things I do for soreness!
