Hi , Has anyone experienced a muscle spasm when training that goes into a lump?
When I'm lifting weights or even doing crunches and I'm exerting I feel a muscle in my jaw contract and cramp then it actually swells into a lump and I have to rest for a moment until it goes down. Then its sore for a couple of days. I should probably get it checked out but I wondered if anyones heard/experienced any thing similar?
thanks

I have had something like that happen to my jaw before. A few times actual, it???s very uncomfortable and kind of painful. I don???t know about the lump though. Is the pain below the jaw toward your neck area? That???s where mine was. I never really worried about it, it does not happen too often to me. I doubt is something to worry about just take pain and move on. Maybe try to stay a bit more hydrated see what happens.

Its directly under the jaw in the place where the glands are.
I do drink loads when lifting as my mouth gets really dry, but thanks, I'll up my intake even more.

Drink your water during the course of you???re day. When working out just sip it doesn???t drink too much. In my experience that???s not a good idea. Personally used to feel like cap when I did, even have thrown it back out.

Brilliant link. Thanks;) It says there about nerve damage and I'm wondering if when I had wisdom teeth out they dislocated my jaw and damaged the nerves. Thats clarified things a bit and I'll try the tips with drinking, too
