Is there anyway to get like the muscle fibers in your arms closer together so your arms will be small but you will be strong at the same time?

not really.. Number of muscle fibers always stays the size. The number of Fast Twitch vs Slow Twitch fibers stay the same. But the ratio between Type II and IIa fibers can be changed. Muscle structure cant be changed.

a powerlifting routine will build more on strength than size. Try one out. Powerlifiting Section.

That's conjecture, I believe.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is...

also i do believe you can grow new muscle fibers, while the accuall fibers expand during growth new fibers also can be formed. mostly tho the fibers simply expand.

not really there have been researchers researching that but you can not "change the shape of a muscle either...

New muscle cell creation is called hyperplasia, and that doesn't occur past puberty unless replacing a dead cell, or using growth hormone.

Right now nothing is proven, but there are some experts in the field that DO believe that some hyperplasia is taking place in humans. Some feel that satellite cells are quite possibly forming into new muscle cells on the own as well.

But again, nothing is proven at this point.

I have read some similiar things as well.

it would be cool as hell if this were proven to be true.

one of my professors spoke on how new muscle cells can grow in very trained people, she spoke as if it was fact when accually it seems as if it is a theory as of right now

Well, it is quite possible that in her mind IT IS FACT. If she feels the evidence is compelling enough she might honestly believe that its true.

Yes it would be. Some believe that severe stretching can actually facilitate this process (as I believe this was proven in a few animal studies).

All very interesting.
